The artistic experience
El Abrazo is a live illusionism work for one viewer, presented through a video call. Created, written and performed by Luis Albornoz, it combines close-up magic with a story about memory, choices and fate.
The phone screen becomes an intimate, participatory space. Each performance unfolds in real time with its viewer, making every encounter different.
It targets young and adult audiences. A stable connection and quiet space are necessary to participate.
Documented history
The history of the work and the project approved in 2026 are different phases.
Premiered in 2020, the work formed part of En busca de la belleza, a project supported by the Strategic Projects program of Chile's Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage. It reached health workers and social organizations in Atacama. By August 2026, it had surpassed 800 performances.

You can have El Abrazo as an experience aimed at dedicated partners, customers, communities or public. Each function is individual, lasts eight minutes and is performed by a video called by WhatsApp. Contact us to define the public, number of functions and date of performance.
El Abrazo has a project approved under the Cultural Donations Act (Folio 11966). That mechanism allows donors that meet the statutory requirements to have access to tax benefits, which can include a tax credit and recognition of some of the donation as an expense. The concrete gain depends on the type of contributor and his tax status.
No. The Cultural Donations Act includes tax benefits for both businesses and natural persons who have met the established requirements. Any person or organization can consult with the conditions for contributing to the project.
Your contribution contributes to financing the conduct of El Abrazo and to broadening free access to this artistic experience. The approved project includes individual and eight-minute functions for people and communities that will be free to participate.
