Training for Colla communities
The Plan de Empleabilidad brought together technical training and workshops to expand employment opportunities in Colla communities of Atacama.
Plan de Empleabilidad, powered by Kinross Miner Chile with Colla communities of Atacama, combined technical training with workshops focused on the world of work. Fundación Atacamagica was involved in the design and co-ordination of the process and a training offer related to the needs expressed by communities.
The program included courses in areas such as conduct, crane operation, welding, food handling, photovoltaic panels and digital literacy. To them have been added spaces to work employability skills and personal tools to face job search processes. At the close, 76 participants received certification for courses and workshops. The experience shows a form of collaboration in which training is organized around concrete opportunities and the participation of communities themselves.
