The experience

A research about voice and territory.

Fundación Atacamagica co-sponsored the research and creation project "Voz Mineral," by the playwright and stage director co-apino Alejandro Moreno, developed by an artistic residence of four months at King Juan Carlos Center in New York.

The initiative explored relations between mining, language and territorial identity through dramatic writing and experimentation with robotic devices capable of independently issuing voices, developed with the collaboration of engineering and robotics specialists from New York University.

One of these technological developments was later used in "Rescate," another stage creation by Alejandro Moreno.

The Foundation's role

Research sponsorship.

Fundación Atacamagica sponsored the project and managed FNDR financing from the Regional Government of Atacama that gave up $19,839,997 for an artistic residence project that gave rise to Voz Mineral.
